Go visit the magnificent Achabal Mughal Garden . You will relish the beautiful chinar trees and the local fauna. The garden also hosts a natural spring which leads to Brengi river underground channel.

Martand Sun Temple
The Martand Sun temple, merely 20 mins from the Anantnag town is a historical wonder by itself. Once a crown of the Hindu architecture, it boasts of the expansive culture and traditions that once existed in the Kashmir Valley. Fun fact, this happens to be the first Sun temple of India, yes, even before the Konark one.

Kokernag Mughal Garden
Localted in District Kokernag, this place is about 30 minutes drive from Anantnag and 2 hours from Srinagar. Kokernag is famous forĀ gardens, largest fresh water springs and its trout stocked streams. It has been a famous place from mediaeval times and is mentioned in Ain Akbari that the water of Kokernag satisfies both hunger and thirst and it is also a remedy for indigestion. It is also famous for its trout streams.

Pehalgam
Pahalgam is two hours drive from Srinagar. It is famous forĀ its scenic beauty and is the jewel of the picturesque Liddar valley in the high Himalayas. It provides an ideal setting for hiking, trekking, and fishing. It is also the starting point of the annual pilgrimage to the holy cave of Amarnath.

Verinag Garden and Spring
Verinag garden is the first spot you can hit coming out straight from Quazikund tunnel, if you are travelling via road from Jammu. This beautiful garden and town is a little more than 2 hours drive from Sirnagar. The garden was originated from a gushing mountain spring of Verinag, which is the source of the River Jhelum. Mughal Emperor Jahangir was impressed by the beauty of the spring and its surrounding areas. Soon then, he built an octagonal water tank of sculptured stones in 1620 AD. Seven years later, his son Shah Jahan added some attractive features to the garden and constructed fountains and cascades in row lines in front of the spring. He also built hot and cold baths in the garden of which only ruins are now left and preserved.
